Rental Agreement
Terms and conditions of hire
1.0 Introduction
Please read this Agreement before entering and using our website. By entering and using any part of "www.belandco.co.nz" you have agreed to be bound by this Agreement.
This Agreement between us is a legal agreement between you and Bel & Co. The Agreement sets out the terms and conditions on which we agree to rent garments to you and you agree to pay the rental fee and return the garments on time and in good condition.
2.0 Paying the Rental Fee
You agree to pay the rental fee through the website, www.belandco.co.nz
Payment of the rental fee must be made with your booking to be secure the garment that you have chosen for the date that you have selected. There is one payment option available; PayPal. Note that we can only release the garments once we have the funds in our account.
3.0 Credit for Cancellation
If you have booked a garment and then wish to cancel your booking you need to let us know within 24 hours from the time of booking and we agree to give you a credit, equal to the rental fee that you have paid. You will need to email belandco.nz@gmail.com or contact us on our Facebook page so that we can arrange a credit.
Once the item has been posted to you and then you decide to cancel a credit will not be available to you.
4.0 Postage/delivery/return
Rentals will be posted Monday through to Saturday.
Please allow us three working days to ensure we get the garment to you on time
Postage costs are to be paid by you and this is $10.00 for the majority of garments. Bulkier garments i.e. shoes may have a higher shipping cost due to them requiring a bigger postage bag(s). All garments will come with a prepaid return postage bag.
Tracking details will be provided to you once we have sent the garment.
Our parcels are sent through New Zealand Post using overnight shipping, which is trackable via the New Zealand Post website, https://www.nzpost.co.nz/tools/tracking, Saturday delivery is not an option that is available, as it tends to be unreliable. If a parcel has been delayed and does not arrive by the specified delivery date, please contact us.The garment/s are to be returned in the prepaid postage bag provided and to be sent the next working day after your event.
In the scenario that your parcel has been lost by New Zealand Post, we will do our best to send a replacement in time for your event, or offer a credit note or refund for the full transaction minus the freight cost. Failure to supply your correct delivery information, however, is not at the fault of Bel + Co and a refund or credit note will not be issued in this instance.
If the garment becomes unavailable (due to damage or late return by another customer), we will notify you as soon as possible. We can arrange for you to hire another garment or provide a refund for the full transaction.
We do not post outside of New Zealand.
5.0 Pick up and drop off
Picking up and dropping off garments, is free of charge from 26 Examiner Street Nelson.
If you are dropping the item back to us, we require the item to be returned within two working days from when we rented the garment to you. Failure to do so will result in a $20.00 penalty per day the item is not returned.
Fittings are available and bookings for fitting times are essential. We can be contacted for a fitting, either via. email at belandco.nz@gmail.com or Facebook.
6.0 Refunds
No refund will be made if the garment does not fit correctly or ‘look right’ on you. If you are unsure on sizing, style, fit, please contact us beforehand as we do not refund if the garment does not fit. Measurements and more photos can be sent on request.
Refunds will be given where the garment is not delivered by post on time. All of our garments are sent out with plenty of time to arrive with you, and we take best endeavors to use the correct postal stickers to ensure that the garments arrive with you on time. It is possible however for there to be a delay, that is beyond our control. If this happens we will give you a full refund.
7.0 Cleaning
We will wash the garments when they are returned to us, and treat any marks or stains appropriately. If washing does not remove the marks/stains and dry cleaning is required, you are responsible to pay for this (usually around $20.00). The amount will be discussed on a case by case basis.
8.0 Damage & Fees Incurred
If the garment is damaged, you are liable to pay for the full cost of any repair. If the garment can not be repaired to an appropriate standard, you are liable to pay us the recommended retail price that is stated on the specific garment you rented on www.belandco.co.nz
Our biggest piece of advice, when wearing a hire garment is to treat it as if it were your own. Although the garment is not brand new, we do everything we can to keep it in the most pristine condition. Please be mindful of embellished clutches or jewellery that
may snag the material. Another tip would be to pick the garment up of the ground to avoid any damaging surfaces and heels stepping on the garment. In the situation the garment is damaged while in your care, the best thing to do is notify our team through the online contact form no later than 24 hours after your event. The following rules apply to damaged garments:
- If the garment needs to be dry-cleaned twice, a fee of $50 will be charged. (Do not try and wash stains out yourself).
- If the garment needs a minor repair, (e.g. zipper needs fixing, strap replacement or hem taken up as a result of damage), a fee of $60 will be charged.
- If the damage to the garment means it cannot be used again for hire you (the renter) are liable to pay for the full cost of any repair. If the garment cannot be repaired to an appropriate standard, you (the renter) are liable to pay us the RRP stated on the specific garment you rented on www.belandco.co.nz . You will not receive the garment unless arrangements are made for you to buy the dress after you have paid the retail price for the dress that has been damaged beyond repair. Note the RRP are found in the production description of each garment.
- Any charges will be discussed with the hire before processing.
Late & No Returns
- If garments are not returned on the agreed return date, the hire fee will be charged to you again.
- In the case that a garment is still not returned after a second week (due to it being stolen, lost or kept by the hire) the full RRP will be charged in addition to the original hire fee.
9.0 Privacy
You agree that any photos you send of yourself in our clothing may appear on our Facebook, Instagram or on www.belandco.co.nz
